The laughs in this work come from the gap between expectation and reality. Kamui is a figure with overwhelming spiritual power, but the way he drives out spirits is utterly eccentric, so exorcism scenes that should be eerie are flipped into comedy. The combination of an assistant who draws spirits in and a psychic who drives them out being on the same team is itself a structure in which a commotion is bound to break out every time. Takumi Tsukumo directed, and Tomokazu Sugita, Noriko Ao and MAO are listed in the cast.
At a short 12 minutes per episode, it is easy to watch one episode lightly or several in a row. It has been released on TVING with a subscription since October 21, 2026. Because you follow it through the eyes of a protagonist who can only see ghosts, even viewers new to exorcism stories can naturally get into the unfamiliar premise.
What to watch for
- 01
The premise of an assistant with a constitution that attracts spirits teaming up with a psychic of strong spiritual power is itself the starting point of each episode's commotion.
- 02
The gap between overwhelming spiritual power and eccentric exorcism methods is the core fun of watching the character Kamui.
- 03
It is worth following the protagonist's perspective to see how Shizuka, who can only see ghosts, manages her assistant work without any special ability.
This is a good fit for those who want to enjoy goofy exorcism antics in short episodes rather than scares.
