  • Official ranking: Shown as the platform publishes it on its service
  • Calculated in-house: Calculated by ott raon by combining each platform's published ranking
  • Official ranking by type: The platform's official overall ranking split by title type (series/movies)

2. Combined ranking principles

The combined ranking is calculated by combining the ranks a title holds on each platform. Higher platform ranks earn more points, and ranks on platforms with larger audiences carry more weight.

A title that appears on several platforms at once is counted only once, so being available in more places alone does not give it an advantage. Recently released titles receive a small boost, and within the same platform ranking, a higher-ranked title also stays ahead in the combined ranking.

Detailed calculation criteria are not disclosed in order to maintain service quality, and may be adjusted as needed.

3. Rank change indicators

  • ▲·▼ numbers show the change from the previous ranking day.
  • NEW marks a title that was not ranked on the previous ranking day.
  • If a platform temporarily does not update its ranking, the most recently confirmed rank may be shown.

4. Weekly ranking

  • The weekly ranking converts places 1–20 of the daily combined ranking across five OTT platforms into points (No. 1 = 20 points down to No. 20 = 1 point) and sums them over seven days, Monday to Sunday.
  • Ties are broken by best rank, then days at No. 1, days in the TOP 10, and rank on the last day.
  • Weeks with fewer than six days of collected rankings are not published, and missing days are never filled in.
  • ▲·▼ numbers show the change from last week's weekly ranking and are not shown if last week has fewer than six collected days. NEW marks a title that was not in last week's weekly ranking.

5. Streaming availability

Where each title can be watched, subscription or rental, and direct links come from each platform's title page. Availability and terms can change for platform reasons, so please confirm on the platform before watching.

6. Update cycle

Rankings and title information are updated daily and appear on the site once the update is complete.

7. How title analyses are written

The 'Title analysis', 'Current trend' and TV ratings on title pages

Title analyses are drafted by AI from a ‘fact sheet’ containing only verified facts, and only text that passes automatic checks is published. People, figures, dates or events not in the fact sheet are never written, and synopses are not copied.

  • Title analysis: written from the title's basic information, information provided by platforms, broadcast/production/source information from Wikidata, and other titles by the same director or cast registered on ott raon. Rewritten only when these sources change.
  • Current trend: updated at most once a day from the ranking history ott raon compiles daily, per-episode TV ratings, Netflix official weekly metrics and official platform ratings.
  • Per-episode TV ratings: Nielsen Korea nationwide and Seoul metropolitan figures taken from the ratings tables on Korean Wikipedia; not shown if the episode order or value ranges do not match.
  • Netflix metrics: the weekly TOP 10 published by Netflix (South Korea ranking, global ranking and views).

The automatic checks confirm that figures match the fact sheet, that there are no unverified claims, exaggerations or spoilers, that there are no unsupported factual claims (a separate AI review), and that sentences do not overlap with analyses of other titles. If any check fails, the text is not published.

If you find incorrect information, please let us know through the contact on the About page. We will correct it after checking and record it in the update log.
