The 600-year timescale is a framework that follows choices and their costs over a longer span than a one-off battle. Because epic/drama and action are bound together in one work, it builds toward a structure in which clashes on the battlefield and the judgments the leaders make push each other higher. It is directed by Kang Yun-seong and stars Soo-hyun, Ha Jeong-u and Joo Ji-hun.
You can watch it on Wavve with a subscription. Because it is a series, you follow the long years of war spread across multiple episodes. Watching with attention to the choices each individual leader makes within the larger current of upheaval inside the Three Kingdoms makes it easier to follow the tension in the premise.
