The Royal Guard Squad Zero confronts Yhwach as he approaches the Soul King Palace. However, the Quincy King and his Schutzstaffel shatter even Squad Zero's desperate Bankai, finally breaking into the inner sanctuary of the Soul King. Entrusted by Hyosube Ichibe with protecting the Soul King, Kurosaki Ichigo and his allies arrive. Yet through Yhwach's scheme, Ichigo ends up striking down the Soul King with his own blade. The death of the Soul King—it signifies the collapse of the three realms. Distortions emerge across every world, and omens of annihilation begin to blanket reality. The Gotei 13 joins forces with Quincy remnants and heads toward the Soul King Palace. However, the palace has already fallen into the hands of the Wandenreich and been reshaped into Wahrwelt. The Schutzstaffel waits in the castle soaring high into the sky as if mocking the Soul Reapers. Fierce battles between the Gotei 13 and the Schutzstaffel unfold across Wahrwelt. Realizing Uryu's true intentions, Ichigo reaffirms his resolve to protect the world as trusting comrades. Yhwach has transcended to a being beyond 'The Almighty'.
